Sumari:Learning cities whose main feature that dedicate their resources and efforts to promote learning of the people in all aspects of life. One area where the characteristics of learning are observed is at work, either for employment or to improve in the current job. It is important to assess how companies engaged in promoting learning among its employees. In this article the human capital theory proposed by Becker is analyzed and compared to how the training offered by the Oxxo, retail chain in Mexico, is provided. The main result that was reached was that in practice some aspects of mentioned theory is performed, however there are other points that the organization does and the human capital theory of Becker not recommended.
