| Summary: | Industrial Tourism, a relevant subject within the border region of Ciudad Juarez-El Paso, where the manufacturing industry has a great economic dynamism, and innovative expectations and proposals in this sector are visualized. This paper explores the opportunities and challenges of the manufacturing industry settled in Ciudad Juarez to developed industrial tourism activities in their facilities. The information was obtained by means of deep interviews with 15 managers of the most important companies of this region. We can observe from the results that the activities of industrial tourism are perceived by the interviewed managers as beneficial and considered as an alternate activity to manufacturing. |
