Description
Summary:The control of diabetes mellitus has increased the mortality rate in patients through diagnostic methods such as glucose detection by biosensors capable of analyzing the analyte in an alternative liquid to the blood, such as salivary glucose, allowing a painless and quick diagnosis. The materials used to maintain optimal properties for use in the development of glucose biosensors, using bioglass 45S5 as an encapsulation medium and ZnS. Cu for its properties acts as a fixative of analytes with a high electron transfer rate. Different optical and electrical characterization techniques (scanning electron microscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, 4-tip method and impedance analyzer) are performed on thin films of 1 and 2 layers of ZnS.Cu coated with bioglass 45S5, to obtain an electrical circuit that allows us to observe the changes of resistance in the film with different concentrations,  conditioning the sensor and obtaining the signal.
