Sumario: | The experience and interpretation of the city incorporate various factors, whether internal or external, that allow the construction and evaluation of discourses of habitability for each individual. The scale of the relationship in the interaction between the human being, the environment, and everything it entails, whether urban or immediate, the dynamism in their movements, or the passivity in their contemplation, represents the catalyzing element in the appropriation of any public or private space. This is why any decision to intervene in it requires considerations focused on an analysis in different dimensions.
This study addresses the case of a downtown area in the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico, the “L Zone” of ZUFO Centro with historical, natural, and social variables that have not been adequately considered in urban renewal projects. The objective of the study is to incorporate strategies to enhance the user experience in urban space, identifying important elements in the daily life of the inhabitants of the area, from the interior (context/thought) to the exterior (context/corporeality). These elements were analyzed from a qualitative approach through site observation and recording exercises, interviews, and tracking of dynamics that allowed determining the importance and relevance of considering them, even those with an accidental nature.
Concluding in this way comprehensive spatial experiences require attention to specific and local variables in the daily use of space, ranging from macro to micro habitability, through useful tools that facilitate the process. |
