Summary:The overall objective of this research is to measure gender wage discrimination, in manufacturing the northern border of Mexico, in the period 2005-2011, assess the overall effect and education levels, making contrasts the results of the border nationals north. We constructed a panel data as an information source using the National Urban Employment Survey (enoe), the 2005-2011 period, which was applied by the technique estimates Oaxaca-Blinder (1973) using ols and correcting the selection bias with Heckman. The results were obtained at the northern border region and national calculating the manifestation of gender wage discrimination, together industry and education levels during the period. In the industry, to the north and Mexico border, it was shown that women earn about 13 percent less, relative to men, because of discrimination, and education levels, we observed that wage discrimination against professional women, decreases greatly.
