Summary:Gender inequality characterizes everyday life in Mexico and academia is no exception. Despite the achievements made in recent decades in the implementation of public policies on gender equality, there is still a long way to go to achieve full equality in academia, science and technology. It is necessary to investigate not only macropolitics, but its influence at the micro level in trajectories of women lives. The objective of this work is to analyze life trajectories of women academics attached to sni-Conacyt to identify the influence of gender stereotypes, glass ceilings, obstacles difficulties and opportunities for conciliation domestic and public life.
