Description
Summary:The purpose of this work is to provide elements of analysis to understand that violence in the sierra Tarahumara is founded on social structures of a historical nature and these structures, in turn, are generated by social practices built from different systems of schemes of behavior that creates different action strategies in different social agents (Bourdieu, 1987). This is observed, first of all, from the ethnographic present that shows how practices and social structures feed each other. This observation is completed, secondly, through a brief historical overview that shows how this feedback between practices and social structures is old and partly explains the current naturalization of violence in this region.
