Summary:The domain of technology, has permeated current and previous generations, with the use of cell phones, computers, software, social networks. All this has allowed with an apparent consent on the part of the users, this consent being not correctly informed, or lacking interest in detail and the importance of this consent by the user, which authorizes large companies to have and/or manage information about our lives. The objective of the investigation was to determine if the Public Prosecutors attached to the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Chihuahua in Mexico, of the Crimes against Life Investigation Unit, as users of social networks violate the Right to Privacy of Personal Data of people investigated. The methodology that was used addresses a qualitative strategy, to determine if the right to Privacy of Personal Data of the user of Social Networks is being violated, due to the use of another right such as freedom of expression. The incidence between the use of Social Networks and the Right to Privacy of Personal Data is corroborated.
