Summary:The health emergency has brought several changes in today’s society, such as the transition from a face-to-face mode to the virtual one, posing challenges to higher education teachers such as obtaining digital skills in the management of tools that support their practice. The theoretical basis of the research are concepts such as: information and communication technologies, virtual modality, digital skills teachers, digital tools and virtual classes: synchronous and asynchronous. The objective of the research is to analyze digital teaching skills in the use of digital tools in higher education during the health emergency of 2020 and explore educational experiences during the transition from classroom to virtual classes. The interpretation of the results pointed 4 categories: transfer, virtual class, training and tools. It is concluded that the use of digital tools is not a whole since they have to be rise at the same time as digital skills within the virtual classroom.
