Summary:The physical and social shape of downtown Ciudad Juarez comes from the dynamics of space occupation since the last quarter of the 19th century, marking the global expansion of the Capitalist System. In this sense, we can talk about the ways in which capitalism marked the development of this town located on the border between two countries whose asymmetries become evident at every step. Form and rhythm of growth of the city, in this case, the most significant elements of the city central neighborhoods are reviewed. Form and rhythm always dealing with the requirements of the Modernity and its ideological path: Progress.
