| Summary: | This article presents the research focused on the urban centralities, developed at the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. An ad hoc multidisciplinary team created in 2016,with interest in the subject from different approaches (urban, historical-heritage, socioeconomic, etc.), carries out this research that is enriched through teaching and extension in various modalities.The advances of the investigation are exposed in the following aspects: the problematization and the revision of the concept of centralities in contemporary key, the system of centralities in the instruments of land planning, objectives and methodological approach of the Laboratory of Urban Centralities and the case study in Municipality A of Montevideo. The article ends with some outcomes and key-notes towards a new approach at the system of centralities. |
