Summary:Cross-sectional survey in a sample of 400 couples. Objective: To identify attitudes and behaviors they perceive as violent from their partner and themselves, as well as the frequency and modalities which they occur. The main results reflected in the general receiving frequency 16.6% for women and men 13.9% However, the frequency of violence towards their partner, men reported 12.7% and women 12.9%. For perception, in case that woman would exercise domestic violence toward their couples, they would consider their acts (49.0%) more violent of what men think (41.2%) if they were the aggressors to woman (41.2%). If women received domestic violence from men, they would consider these acts (51.3%) more violent rather than what men think (40.7%) if they would practiced domestic violence toward their partners.
