Description
Summary:This paper reflects about conscious practice of public space. When an intervention in space is made, we must make decisions that truly considers specific needs of a population. It should start by observing it, not from outside but from within itself, experiencing space with the senses, take part of the dynamic and adapt to the rhythm of life in a block, a street, a house, its inhabitants. The adaptation of the social actor to a specific context would result in integration, also opens the possibilities of transforming a space from the beginning, from the perspective of immediate user, who is none other than the local resident. The intervention of a site should not be limited to a regulation, rule or law, should seek harmonious relations to transform the space consistently, accept the basic rules of coexistence but also keep those that promote exchange, meeting spaces and diversity of solutions that improve the overall quality. User experience, analysis of the dynamics of the place and the implementation of pilot projects are key to the development of public spaces connected to the community factors.
