Description
Summary:The purpose of this paper is to enunciate those different ways of looking and perspectives that try to explain the importance of the regional dimension development into a context of global transformations of the economy, in order to understand and analyze the particular cases and processes that occur around the global regional spaces and have influence in territorial organization. For this purpose I consider as startup the structural changes of the world economical processes from the last decades of the XXth century that forced the searching of new alternatives for local and regional development with new adjusted models according to world’s economical patterns. I identify two fundamental aspects of the regional economic development from these theoretical points of view: on one side, exist the importance of the territorial dimension and, on the other hand, we have the endogenous process criteria.
